At Foreign languages department English instructor Olena Dmytrivna Nebohina and students from Group 31 (1): Oleksandr Mylashechkyn, Mykhailo Puhach, Artem Tevosian, Vadyslav Liashko and Vladyslav Hapon had a creative class on the topic “Why is it useful to know English?”

The class involved Listening, different techniques that develop creativity, artistic and informative approach to making a poster.

A flower-shaped poster that demonstrates 5 most used English verbs and the reasons why a person should master a foreign language today has been created.

The students initiated the making of this poster in 3-D.

“On this class we became one team, got positive energy and good mood.”

Linguistic learning and methodology center of Foreign languages department has presented a range of services it provides at the “Interests Fair” that took place on September 1, 2015 at Sumy State University. Freshmen, and not only they, could ask questions and find out more about the variety of foreign language courses and their new methodological support.

Teachers of Sumy State University (Oksana Hladchenko from Foreign Languages Department and Antonina Siryk from Physical Education Department) got awards at the open badminton championship among veterans and amateurs that took place on June, 27-29 in Mykolaiv. 70 sportsmen from 15 Ukrainian cities, and also from China and Prydnistrovia participated in it.

In August 2014 students of Sumy State University got a marvelous opportunity to make their blue dream come true and visit the cities of Europe such as Budapest, Vienna, Salzburg and Paris.

On April 24-25, 2014 Yaroslav Chumachenko, a freshman of Sumy State University, took the third place in Ukrainian Olympiad in Latin among medical educational institutions in courses “Medicine” and “Pharmacy”. We thank H.S. Ilina, the teacher of Foreign Languages Department, for teaching and helping him.
