On December 16-17, the Kyiv Open 2023 Badminton Championship took place, featuring participation from athletes from Sumy, including Oksana Gladchenko, senior lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguodidactics, and Antonina Siryk, senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Education and Sports. Among the 130 participants in the competition, there were representatives from India and Georgia.
Sumy badminton players Oksana Gladchenko and Antonina Siryk won in the women's doubles category (WDC). In the championship final, they competed against Kyiv's female players and, engaging in an intense struggle, emerged victorious after three sets, with scores of 21:19, 20:22, 24:22.
