TESOL-Ukraine and its sister affiliate Hawaii TESOL keep collaborating in solidarity with Ukraine. A team of Ukrainian teachers of English representing four universities (Sumy State University; National Academy of National Guard of Ukraine, Kharkiv; Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and Dnipro University of Technology) were invited as plenary keynote speakers at the NAFSA spring conference “Educate, Advocate and Innovate with Peace and Aloha” held online on April 30 (April 29 local Hawaii time). Ukrainian teachers shared their insights from Teaching Practices at Times of War and Uncertainty in Ukraine, which was the issue of their team presentation. Their message appealed strongly to the hearts and minds of 89 Conference participants. Lyudmyla Hnapovska, Associate Professor of Foreign Languages Department of SSU, contributed with her talk on “The Grammar of War”.
