Svitlana Mikhno took part in an online event for teachers focusing on ‘Empowering teachers in the brave new digital world of English Language Teaching (ELT)’ from LanguageCert.
LanguageCert is committed to developing and delivering high-quality, internationally recognised language exams that enhance the career, education and life prospects of individuals worldwide. As the demand for English language knowledge continues to grow across the globe, the need for certified English teachers is also rapidly increasing.This is also a crucial issue nowadays at Sumy State University as its Higher Education Quality Board urges English teachers to obtain TESOL (Teaching English for Speakers of other Languages) or TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificates.
This event was an excellent opportunity to gain insights from ELT experts into current issues concerning online teaching and learning. Keynote speakers, Nicky Hockly & John Hughes, took to the global stage during this event being held on 3 November. Svitlana learnt about LanguageCert’s online English exams and found out more information on how live, online proctored delivery technology can assist teachers and their learners.
